About the project

For this project, we are working with Ngaliwurru-Wuli Aboriginal Corporation (NWAC) in Timber Creek (traditionally known as Makalamayi, on the lands of Ngaliwurru and Nungali people) in the Northern Territory.

The project is to provide a facility for corporation staff at the site of the tourist park, including a workshop, store room, accessible bathroom and laundry.

Our role

NWAC had already secured funding for this project when it brought Metio in for:

  • management of detailed design development

  • contract administration

  • client-side project management during construction.

Project impact

The staff facility will support ongoing operations of the Gunamu precinct at Timber Creek, which includes a petrol station, shop, café and caravan park. Those services provide the local community with sustainable employment and affordable and reliable food.
