For this project, we are working with Ngaliwurru-Wuli Aboriginal Corporation (NWAC) in Timber Creek (traditionally known as Makalamayi, on the lands of Ngaliwurru and Nungali people) in the Northern Territory.
The project is to provide a facility for corporation staff at the site of the tourist park, including a workshop, store room, accessible bathroom and laundry.
Our role
NWAC had already secured funding for this project when it brought Metio in for:
management of detailed design development
contract administration
client-side project management during construction.

Project impact
The staff facility will support ongoing operations of the Gunamu precinct at Timber Creek, which includes a petrol station, shop, café and caravan park. Those services provide the local community with sustainable employment and affordable and reliable food.
